IDENTIFYING ATTENTION SEEKING BRHAVIOUR AND WAYS TO STOPPING IT
Having an attention seeking child can be very disturbing at times to parents especially when your colleague’s children have commendable character. Ever asked yourself “why are my children different”? Some children seeks attention because of their insecurities this is why the best way to help a child overcome this is by telling him positive comment of how good and how proud you are or feel about them. The more positive word you tell your child awakens his/her mind.
OVERLOOK THE NEGATIVITY
Instead of dwelling on his/her attention seeking behavior, focus on the positivity as that is the only way a child will reduce the attention seeking behavior and take a new way of life.
SPEND TIME WITH YOUR CHILD
If you want to help your child deal with the attention seeking behavior, create and spend quality time with your child. Tell them how much you love them. Let every moment bring good memories to their mind. Spending time with them will make them feel better.
ALLOW THEM HAVE THEIR SPACE
Grounding a child is not always the best solution to remedy this behavior. Allow your child have their space. Let them express their decisions as well as have fun.
